Let the Journey Begin.
Have you ever had one of those days when you wished you could just turn off the alarm and pull the duvet cover back over your head? Truth be known this happens to each of us more than just occasionally, it could even be conceivable to say this happens daily and maybe more than once throughout any given day of the week.
In today’s hectic rat-race of life we all have challenges to overcome, yet these challenges may be insignificant to some but to others it can feel quite painful and distressing. Unfortunately, I have been in some of these extremely scary situations where the overwhelming dread sets in and you never know which way to turn.
I believe, without positive inspirational quotes in my life, I don’t think I would have ever dug my way out of the deep dark pit my mind had been in. It’s a good job they are so readily available, with a simple online search, a quick flick through Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest. The truth is no matter what part of the world we live in we really do love inspirational quotes.
Why Do We Love Inspirational Quotes?
Our positive spirits are overwhelmed daily with bad news, negative people and continuous challenges. We are all under huge amounts of pressure in one way or another, deadlines at work; exams to pass; troublesome relationships; friends; family; children; bills; the boss; debts; the list is endless.
These little paragraphs and one liner’s offer us that little push, a push to act, a push to find the strength, energy and determination to get through all those difficult times life seems to throw at us. We see quotes every day on our timelines, on posters, t-shirts, tea towels, aprons they are everywhere. We find ourselves optimistically falling in love with the words and the hand-lettering fonts on seamlessly beautiful sunsets that we would only hope to see and feel someday.
The sheer strength these humble words have, empower motivation, inspiration and have incredible effects on our wellbeing. Yet it can’t just be the power of the words that have this effect on us. Truthfully the science behind inspiration is quite complex, there are a lot of neurological pathways and reasoning behind everything we learn, do, and make. These quotes simply open our minds to other possibilities. Once we become inspired, we become susceptible to new ideas opening more and more pathways within our minds, simply put we generate new ideas to produce other ideas like a feedback circuit.
When we read these inspirational quotes, we are initiating the creative side within ourselves, and offering a new idea which directly connects to your own beliefs and thoughts, because you feel this connection you arouse and promote new ideas, just like brainstorming with friends, family and work colleagues, yet you’re having the brainstorming conversations with yourself.
The attraction we have with these quotes can also reinforce what we already know about ourselves strengthening our beliefs inspiring us to feel the desire of who we really are and want to be. When a quote really pulls you in and touches you, like
“The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.” – Molière, French playwright, actor and poet.
“For every dark night, there’s a brighter day.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson, American essayist, lecturer, philosopher, and poet.
You are describing the characteristics of a person that has determination, willpower, one who won’t quite under pressure and hardship. Someone that can see a brighter future even though you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. All the time projecting the same characteristics to show people the kind of person you are.
I Don’t Like Inspirational Quotes.
Unfortunately, not everyone has the same opinion on inspirational quotes. Astonishing as it might sound there are just people in the world that would go as far as to say that they hate positive, inspirational and motivational quotes. Yet you would think everyone would what to be the happiest and best they could be.
To be brutally honest as though it might sound rather mysterious and perplexing some people have all but given up. Given up on their success stories, given up on their life goals. Much of the time this may be due to forming misleading beliefs about life and others and, possibly living in extremely tough circumstances for long periods of time or it could just be that people have just forgotten about everything they ever wanted. This all seems very negative but sadly in many cases it can be quite true.
A couple of years ago I attended a front-line manager training course on team performance and there was one remarkably true bit of advice that made me realise how diverse a team and people can be. This fragment of advice helped me understand why some people can be quite negative all the time and especially towards upper management.
There are just some people on this planet that are at their happiest when they are protesting, complaining and moaning and about the misfortunes of their lives and the surrounding people. Always trying to extinguish the positivity out of every situation.
In a way, you could say that these groups of people have found their own inspirational way of living. Especially if you look at the situation like I do. “the glass is half full, not half empty”

Concluding, Inspiration is up to You.
At the end of the day if any quote touches you, in a way that is special to you then it doesn’t matter what others think. That’s what’s so great.
Whenever you feel unhappy and depleted as if the whole world is against you, you can always turn to your favorite inspiring quotes.
Instead of getting stuck in the pit of negativity, take time out and turn to those instinctively optimistic people who transform their lives with inspiration and motivation. These are the kind of people that will always see the brighter side of life and remain in a euphoric like state no matter what life throws at them.
Remember inspirational quotes touch all division of life, even when you think the glass is half empty, I’m telling you not a chance, how can it be half empty when it really is HALF FULL….
Be kind and smile often.
